I have been working in the ICT industry for over ten years
and have specialised in educational ICT support for Primary Schools, small business and home use for
over 7 years.. I have an excellent working knowledge of
business needs and requirements. I have successfully designed maintained and
implemented Windows 2003\2008 Server networks and 2000,XP,Vista and windows 7 workstation environments at different locations. And have been responsible for every aspect of ICT within Primary Schools and Small Buisnesses. I have specialised skills in the following
areas and I am able to offer the following:-
• Design, maintain and implement Windows 2003 Server and XP workstations environments
at different locations.
• Provide training and support to all staff within the organization.
• Provide documentation and user guides.
• Installing and testing of software before deployment to network.
• Creation and maintenance of standard curriculum software images.
• Maintenance of backups.
• Manage users, file share & permissions when requested
• Maintain and Install School Information Management Systems. (SIMS).
• Ensure the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, critical
updates, print services and email provision.
• Manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software
problems. • Provide Web Design Assistance where required.
• Maintain, upgrade and recommend hardware where appropriate
• Installation and repair of Servers, PC workstations, laptops etc
• Liaise with third party supplies to obtain quotations
• Maintain computer peripheral equipment such as scanners, printers, whiteboards,
and projectors; ensure that these are prepared and ready to be used.
• Assist the ICT Co-ordinator in the deployment of computer hardware around the
school
• Liaise with external suppliers for the repair of equipment under warranty or maintenance

• Take a lead role in project planning, development, design, organisation and monitoring
of IT systems.
• Be responsible for planning and management of expenditure within an agreed budget
and to standards described as ‘best value’ and in accordance with Becta standards.
• Provide user training of the system on adhoc basis or in small groups, on a windows
2003 Server and XP Clients.
